Cheer and Dance Team Chosen
The Phoenix football team now has 12 women as part of their on-field
organization. They Phoenix Cheer and Dance Team will suit up in a much
different fashion on game day, yet they are essential team members.
After three rigorous days of training and auditions held at the DoubleTree
Hotel on Jan. 19-21, judges chose the 12 from an initial pool of 18.
"It was fantastic and as a result, we have a fantastic group of women to
represent the Phoenix organization and support the team," said Jennifer
Brenner, director of the Phoenix Cheer and Dance Team. "We kept the bar high
and selected a wonderfully diverse, talented and well rounded group of women
to the team."
The first meeting/rehearsal will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at
Gold's Gym, where they will continue their training throughout the season.
The members of the new Cheer and Dance Team, and their ages, are:
